On Ruth Camuse

I tried to combine the AzTEA Eastside Blog and my EdTech/ITv Blog from work but it began to not make sense. Some things were simply specific to one group or the other, so I am starting up the original AzTEA blog again - the below links are posts from the WordPress attempt:

Is PowerPoint Really Tech Integration? April 29, 2007

The AzTEA Eastside Chapter site has been updated to reflect Planning Meetings. August meeting was canceled, everyone is simply swamped with beginning of the year - school opening - activities. Keep up to date with the website and blog!

Kick-Off Meeting a Success

Thanks to Julia Lott and Gilbert Junior High School for providing the perfect environment for this versatile collaboration of activities, their Library/Media Center.

For the meeting focal point, Tammy Hernandez of ASSET provided incredible information about AzTEA Awards and other small grants - for the classroom, including tips for grant writing success! We were fortunate to have her expertise, fresh from her Presentations 'QWEST Innovative Educators Grants', from the AzTEA Northern Arizona Chapter's Annual PEAK Conference.

There were also short, breakout sessions, followed by open time for further discussion with presentors:

Marco Polo On-Line Resource - Internet Content for the Classroom
ASSET New On-Line Courses - including upcoming SEI 45 hours
Primary Resources from the Library of Congress

Sessions formats included lab (hands-on), small discussion groups and presentations

Thanks to AzTEA & ASSET for the dinner and refreshments provided
